Hardwood Flooring

North Yorkshire Timber offer four main ranges of hardwood flooring. These are NYT Solid, NYT Cattle Flooring, Kahrs and Junckers.

The NYT Solid range consists of a number of solid Oak floors which are available in a variety of finishes and grades, including lacquered or wax oiled rustic Oak. Our NYT Solid Oak flooring is also available in a variety of widths and lengths, from 90mm to 180mm wide and random lengths up to 3 metres long. A range of exotic species are also available within this range, including Merbau, Jatoba and Walnut flooring.

The NYT Cattle Flooring range features very wide Oak boards, up to 400mm wide. These Oak floors are available in a number of colours and finishes including fumed Oak and aged / distressed Oak. The NYT Cattle Flooring range is an engineered Oak flooring product and is therefore extremely stable, with very little risk of warping or shrinkage. For this reason it is also suitable for use with underfloor heating systems.

The Kahrs flooring range is particularly varied, and is available in a large variety of species including Oak, Walnut, Maple, Ash, Beech, Rosewood and many others. Kahrs floors are also engineered and so are suitable for use with underfloor heating systems.

Junckers solid wood flooring is one of the few solid wood products that is suitable for use with underfloor heating systems (please ensure you follow Junckers fitting guidelines, available in the ‘fitting guidelines’ section of this website). Like Kahrs floors, Junckers floors are available in a large selection of colours and grades to give you as much choice as possible.

With all of our flooring products there are usually some accessories needed to ensure the perfect fit or finish. These are recommended to you at the ‘My cart’ stage of your purchase. If, however, you are unsure about which additional products you will need, please contact us and we will advise you on the right accessories for your project. When any order is placed online, we will check it to ensure you have chosen the correct fittings and finishes. If we feel you may have chosen the wrong items, we will contact you to double check.

Doors

With well over 800 styles and sizes, the range of doors available at North Yorkshire Timber is massive! To make is easier for you to find your perfect door, we have split our range into various sections, depending on their styling and colour.

We have a number of traditional style doors, mainly available in Oak. These include classic styles such as 4 panel (Victorian) and 6 panel (Georgian) Oak doors.

Our ‘Contemporary range’ is, in our opinion, unrivalled for its variety of colours, styles and innovation. We have simplified this section by focusing on Oak, Cherry and Walnut doors, however more options are available. Our latest additions to the Contemporary range include walnut doors with Aluminium inlays. These give a particularly ultra-modern look, perfect for any contemporary-styled home. If you are looking for a door that is a bit different and you do not want something too modern, then our ‘Traditional range’ may have the perfect door for you. Within this selection are a number of panelled Oak doors which offer a different look.

Door Frames

North Yorkshire Timber can supply matching door frames for your new doors. These are offered in Pine, Oak or veneered mdf, but other species are available on request. Our Oak door frames are available in standard sizes, although bespoke sized frames can be machined to order. We can also supply door frames which are suitable for FD30 fire doors.

Skirting and Architrave

North Yorkshire Timber offer a massive range of Oak and Pine skirting and architrave. Our most popular products are listed on our website, but other patterns and bespoke sizes can be machined to order.
